4 Ensure that you are in the “Select Employee” page.
4 Enter the complete code of the employee in the “Employee Code” field.
4 Select the “Record Employee Competency” hyperlink beside the employee code field.
4 The system displays the “Record Employee Competency” page.
4 Use the search facility to fetch the required record in the multiline.
4 Select the hyperlink on the name of the required employee.
4 The system displays the “Record Employee Competency” page.
4 The following details are displayed at the top of the page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employee Code Setup Unit |
The employee code setup unit applicable to the login employment unit. The system displays the value selected in the “Select Employee” page. |
Employee |
The name and unique code of the employee. The system displays the value selected in the “Select Employee” page. |
Maximum Level |
The maximum competency level set in the process parameters for competencies. |
Employee Type |
The type of the employee’s job. The employee type indicates if the selected employee is a regular employee or has been hired on contract for a limited period or is a consultant etc. |
4 You can view the effective dates of the previous versions of the record in the “Access Data History” group box.
Effective From |
The date from which the corresponding version of the record was in effect. |
Effective To |
The date till which the corresponding version of the record was in effect. |
4 Select the “Previous” pushbutton to view the previous set of effective dates.
4 Select the “Next” pushbutton to view the next set of effective dates.
4 Specify the following details in the “Competency Details” multiline.
Note: For a new competency information record, the fields and drop-down list boxes will be blank. For an existing record, the system displays the values previously specified
Competency Code |
The unique code of the competency. Help available |
Competency Description |
The description of the competency. |
Minimum Desired Level |
A value to indicate the level to which the employee should be proficient in the competency against a maximum value set in the process parameters. |
Possessed Level |
The level to which the employee is proficient in the competency. Possessed level reflects actual competency level of the employee as per HR records. |
Valid From |
The date from which the competency information will be in effect. |
Valid Till |
The date till which the competency information will be in effect. |
4 Select the required modification option i.e., “Correct” or “Update” from the “Modification Option” drop-down list box.
4 Select the “Correct” option.
4 Select the “Update” option.
Note: If the modification option selected is “Update”, you are to specify a new effective date from which a new version will be created in which the changes made will be updated.
4 Specify the new date from which the changes should come into effect in the “New Effective From” field.
4 Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details specified.
4 Select the “View Assignment Competency” hyperlink at the bottom of the page.
